INSTITUTE FOR JEWISH STUDIES

FALL‍‍‍ 2017

COURSE A

JEWISH HISTORY
OF THE LATE MIDDLE-AGES

Countless books and documentaries have been put forward about the history of the Jewish people. For the most part, though, the stories they tell are simplified, surface level treatments. Our story is so much more: it's deeper, more complex, and subversive to the prevailing ideas of ancient and modern civilization.

In this course we'll focus on Jewish History of‍‍‍ the late ‍‍‍middle ages, a period of immense persecution and hardship but, paradoxically, also a period of tremendous production and progress. Come learn the fascinating inner story of how we survived and thrived in a cruel and cold world.

6 Sundays, 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM
Dates: November 12, 19, 26
•  December 3, 10, 17‍‍‍‍‍‍

COURSE B

THE JEWISH FORMULA FOR SUCCESS
12 Powerful Jewish Messages That Will Transform Your Outlook On Life.

Research says happiness and success are strongly influenced by one's attitudes. This is a truth the Jewish people have long known and lived. Despite a history of exile, persecution, and suffering, we've held onto an attitude that has sustained us through the dark times, powered us in the good times, and let us find a meaning of success that researchers ar‍‍‍e only now starting to discover.

We're delighted to announce a course that will examine 12 teachings that define The Jewish Attitude. Come join us for a discovery of happiness and success.‍‍‍
